Sony has come out with an addition to its home theater lineup in the form of its newest projector dubbed the VPL-VZ1000ES, which is perfect for small spaces.
The 4K projector is HDR-compatible and part of an ultra-short throw edition that offers a 16:9 aspect ratio at a size of up to 100 inches when situated just 6 inches from a wall.
Weighing in at 77 pounds and measuring in at 36-by-20-by-9-inches, the VPL-VZ1000ES isn’t tiny, but it isn’t a cumbersome projector. And as a short-throw unit, the high-resolution display doesn’t require an inundating amount of space thanks to its necessary wall-hugging position.
Sony expects to bring the VPL-VZ1000ES to shelves starting in April and is taking pre-orders for the short-throw 4K projector, which is set to retail for $25,000.
