PGA tour golfer Louis Oosthuizen has listed a lakefront house in the Old Palm community in the Palm Beach area. The price is $7.5M.

A sprawling 2-floor brick and stucco post-and-beam design, the house measures 10,418 square feet, and contains seven bedrooms and nine full or half bathrooms; one of the bedrooms is an in-law apartment over the garage. The home is situated on a little over an acre of land.

Featuring custom stone and woodwork throughout, the home begins with a double-height timber and stacked stone gabled entry influenced by the Arts-and-Crafts movement. Exposed beams throughout, stone ornamentation, and light-toned hardwood, give the house an easygoing appeal, and ceilings are generally vaulted. The master bedroom is large and bright, with a wall of windows opening onto the property; the master bath features a floor-to-ceiling stacked stone accent behind the soaking tub.

A glass-enclosed entertainment room with a golf simulator, home cinema, and full bar with grill-kitchenette is among the home’s more striking features.  From the entertainment room, glass doors lead to a patio overlooking the lush landscaping. The kitchen feature custom cabinets; the dark wood is offset by the stacked stone walls. There is an office, and a games room with a recessed, skylight cathedral ceiling.

The exterior of the property features an inlaid stone pool and patio area, nicely landscaped grounds, and view of the fabricated pond with water feature that is adjacent. There is a fire pit for outdoor relaxing.

Louis Oosthuizen took the 2010 open championship by storm, and has been a fixture on the circuit ever since. A lifelong golfer, he turned professional in 2002, and has enjoyed 13 professional wins.
