Guy Wildenstein, the patriarch of the Wildenstein family famous for the Wildenstein Institute and more than five generations of art dealership, has relisted his mansion at 7 Sutton Square in the Sutton Place neighborhood of New York City for $39.8 million, a $10-million price cut from the last time it was on the market.

The 9,600-square-foot home boasts five bedrooms, more than five bathrooms, and six fireplaces. The 33-foot wide manse features stunning views of the East River along with a private garden and a glass rotunda.

Wildenstein purchased the house for $32.5 million in 2008, so he could still see a profit on the property.

Wildenstein’s son, David, also made NYC real estate news recently by listing his massive townhouse on the Upper East Side for $100 million, and he is now reportedly in contract for $81 million.

Wildenstein faced multiple lawsuits in France over claims of $600 million in unpaid taxes but was cleared recently. The Wildenstein family is known for its gigantic art collection, which probably explains why some of the listing photos have paintings blurred out for proprietary and safety reasons.
