Television show creator and producer Silvio Horta of “Ugly Betty” fame has listed his renovated 1920s Spanish Colonial-style home in the star-studded hills above the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles for $5 million.
The 4,148-square-foot house holds four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and is situated privately behind a gate and up above the street, with an exterior staircase leading to a quaint porch and the entryway.
Inside the home is a black-tiled fireplace, dark hardwood flooring, a formal dining room, a den that serves perfectly as a media room, and an eat-in kitchen with stark white counter tops and a subway tile backsplash.
The terraced backyard holds a trellis-covered al-fresco dining area, a plunge-sized swimming pool with a spa, and a palm tree-shaded sunning area. There is also a separate two-car garage with a home gym.
Horta owns a pair of small homes not far from one another in his native Miami, Florida. He is also responsible for creating the short-run shows “Jake 2.0” and “The Chronicle.”
