Earlier this year, the stunning Bovet Flying Tourbillon OttantaSei 10-Day timepiece became the newest addition to the Bovet by Pininfarina family of watches.

The OttantaSei clearly boasts design cues from Pininfarina, the Italian design and engineering house responsible for everything from Ferraris to modern buildings to luxury timepieces.

Coming in either a titanium or gold 44mm case, the OttantaSei features four sapphire crystals (bottom, top, and two on the side walls of the case) that allow for a complete view into the timepiece to allow its wearer to see every angle of the DIMIER 1738 movement.

The watch face is broken up into three sections, with the hours and minutes near the 2 o’clock, the power reserve indicator around the 10 o’clock, and the namesake flying tourbillon at the 6 o’clock.

A patent has even been filed in association with the OttantaSei for the spherical differential that DIMIER 1738 created. The timepiece has also caused a second patent to be filed, this time for the three-dimensional multiple meshing teeth that optimize the operation of the movement.

Only 86 examples of the Bovet Flying Tourbillon OttantaSei have been crafted, with each bearing a numbered plate on the back of the case.
