Chloe Sevigny sold her Park Slope apartment almost as quickly as she listed it.

Located at 9 Prospect Park West, with views overlooking the park, the apartment is a ‘classic seven’ of four bedrooms and three baths. The classic foyer features black-on-white tile, opening into both dining and living rooms. There is a library alcove between.  Kitchen and bathroom are fairly traditional; the latter features a reprise of black-on-white tiling, and is pleasingly, cleanly unpretentious. The central living space features a nice marble fireplace, and nine-foot ceilings lend some nice breathing room.

The apartment sold within days of appearing on the market for $2.75 million. Sevigny purchased it in 2013 for $2.05 million. The building is considered one of the more venerable in Brooklyn; with Prospect Park as its front yard, its historical appeal, and the relatively reasonable pricing compared to big sibling Manhattan, such apartments have much going for them in sales potential.

Of course, Sevigny’s apartment is a hell of a lot less interesting than Sevigny. By virtue of her interest in the restlessly re-inventive nature of fashion—as opposed to fashion itself—Sevigny became a fashion icon; discouraged by the demographical homogenization of her beloved New York City, she was apparently reticent to move to Park Slope at all.

A veteran of films and television, Sevigny’s presence has always been that of a brilliant outsider, lonely as Bill Evans’s piano. She is perhaps best known for her roles in 1999’s ‘Boys Don’t Cry,’ and 2007’s ‘Zodiac,’ but she has also worked with director Whit Stillman twice, most recently in this year’s ‘Love and Friendship.’ 2016 also saw her first effort as writer and director, on an adaptation of the Paul Bowles short story ‘Kitty.’
