Actress Rashida Jones has scooped up a new 40-acre estate that once was the personal property of architect Thornton Ladd in Ojai, California, for $3.2 million.
On the 40 acres sits a 3,500-square-foot, red-tile roofed contemporary style home that was built in 1966. The interior boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a formal entry, a formal dining room, a living room with built-in bookcases and a fireplace, and an eat-in kitchen.
Walls of glass serve both as a source of natural light and to offer stunning and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and rolling hills.
Another unique feature is the kitchen floor tile that is the same used at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, which Ladd helped design along with Frank Gehry, John Kelsey, and Greg Walsh.
Jones is the daughter of famous musician Quincy Jones and television actress Peggy Lipton. Her credits include roles on hit shows such as “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation.” She is the lead in the new Steve and Nancy Carell produced show “Angie Tribeca.”
