Matt Kemp is ready to move on from his Poway home in San Diego County, California, after the San Diego Padres cashed in on the right to the 32-year-old slugger’s services with a trade to the Atlanta Braves last season.
Kemp is seeking $11.5 million for his estate located in Poway’s Heritage community. He purchased the property three years ago for $9.075 million and spent another $3 million in renovations to make the space his own.
The manse measures in at 15,884 square feet and includes bespoke features like Travertine floors, a solarium, a home theater with tiered seating and a snack bar, a 1,200-bottle wine cellar and separate tasting room, and a cigar lounge with its own humidor.
Kemp’s soon-to-be-former house holds five bedrooms and five bathrooms, with two powder rooms. The master suite boasts its own laundry room, a pair of walk-in closets, and two showers.
The exterior of the property includes an infinity-edge swimming pool, a massive pool deck, an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, and a tennis court. The pool/guest house currently operates as a gym and a roman spa. There is also an oversized motor court and a five-car garage on the property.
Kemp spent his first nine MLB seasons with the Dodgers, with whom he was a two-time All-Star.
