Actress and director Penny Marshall has given her fixer-upper penthouse situated on the Upper West Side of Manhattan a massive $1.5-plus million price cut.
Marshall had sought $5.5 million for the 1,800-square-foot penthouse she’s owned since the 1980s. The new asking price is a shade below $4 million since the unit failed to sell after 10 months on the market.
The unit holds two bedrooms, a pair of bathrooms, a combined dining/living room, 11-foot tall wood-beamed ceilings, and herringbone-patterned wood flooring. There’s also a 1,000-square-foot terrace with a limited view of the Hudson River.
Marshall came to fame with her portrayal of Laverne in the hit sitcom “Laverne and Shirley.” She later turned into a popular director with movies such as “Awakenings,” “Big,” and “A League of Their Own.” Marshall has also worked as a producer on movies like “Bewitched” and “Cinderella Man.”
