Former Mayor of Los Angeles, Richard Riordan, recently snatched up a massive 60-acre estate in Ojai, California, for $5.7 million.

The 2001-built, 8,000-square-foot main house holds five bedrooms and seven bathrooms and comes with a Spanish theme. The palatial property also boasts a second home, a foreman’s cottage, a studio, horse facilities, and several acres of income-producing orchards.

The main house boasts a great room with a fireplace, a wine vault with a tasting room, an office, a game room, and a modernized kitchen with a wide center island. The home also offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valley.

Not to be outdone, the second home of the property comes with six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms and is situated among the orchards of the estate. The home also comes with its own private driveway.

Other amenities of Riordan’s new estate include a two-stall horse barn and three horse corrals, a swimming pool and spa surrounded by a pool house with an outdoor kitchen and a changing room, and plenty of spaces for outdoor entertaining.

Riordan was elected as the 39th Mayor of Los Angeles in 1993 and served the city during a strenuous eight-year stretch that included the 1994 Northridge earthquake and the L.A. Riots.
