When identical twins Adam and Ryan Goldston founded Athletic Propulsion Labs, they wanted to push boundaries and break molds with inventive and quality products.

The brothers Goldston and APL have delivered with the world’s most expensive pair of sneakers, retailing at $20,000.

What could make a pair of kicks garner such a price tag? Shoes made of crocodile skin given a 24K gold paint job.

APL spent two years making the 24K gold crocodile shoes perfect before bringing them to market. APL will only make 20 examples of its super luxurious kicks, with each pair made-to-order, with the option of including the customer’s name.

The custom sneakers are currently available at Level Shoe District in Dubai and will be available on APLrunning.com soon.
