Chinese filmmaker Peter Chan has offloaded his home in the Hollywood Hills West neighborhood for $3.265 million, over $250,000 more than the asking price of the Midcentury Modern house.
Situated on a hillside, the 1957-built house offers 180-degree views of the nearby canyon and cityscape.
Because of the stunning views the property holds, the home features an indoor-outdoor living flow, including walls of glass that open onto a lower deck that boasts an infinity-edge swimming pool and spa. There is also an additional wrap-around deck on the second level of the house.
Chan’s former 3,050-square-foot home holds four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, an open living room, and a family room with a wet bar. Another unique feature is a skylight-topped shower found in the master suite.
Chan’s American film credits include the rom-com “The Love Letter” starring Ellen DeGeneres and Tom Selleck. He is more famous for the movies he has directed and produced in China, including “He Ain’t Heavy… He’s My Father,” “The Warlords,” “Dragon,” and “Dearest.”
