Famed cinematographer Janusz Kaminski has put his private estate in Beverly Hills, California, on the market as a luxurious rental for $40,000 a month.

The Polish-born scene-setter picked up the 1.12-acre parcel and home for $2.1 million in 1996 with his then-wife Holly Hunter.

Situated behind security gates and a long driveway is a 5,000-square-foot, 1920s-built Spanish-style house that holds four-bedrooms and four bathrooms. The home also boasts a skylit kitchen, a family room, and an office.

Outside there is an outdoor living room with a kiva-style fireplace and a swimming pool with a spa. There is also a separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse with its own living room and kitchen and a contemporary pavilion that has been used as an office/media lounge.

Kaminski also owns a Craftsman-style home in Venice. He has worked extensively with iconic director and producer Steven Spielberg and has been nominated for an Academy Award six times, winning two for “Schindler’s List” and “Saving Private Ryan.”
