Drone technology is evolving at a rapid pace, so it should come as no surprise that a mini-drone has been created just for the purpose of taking selfies.
The new AirSelfie was made to help users capture the ever-elusive perfect selfie. Designed to fit in the palm of a user’s hand, the tiny quadcopter simply slides into a custom phone case when it needs to be charged or stored.
Although it can only fly for three minutes, that’s almost certainly enough time to capture the perfect group selfie, and users control the tiny drone easily with a companion app. The integrated camera is impressive, too, shooting five-megapixel stills or HD video.
Selfie sticks, beware! The AirSelfie (at the time of writing) has raised more than $330,000 of its $48,000 goal. Oh, and there are 25 days to go in the Kickstarter campaign, so who knows; maybe it’ll hit one million dollars.
For about $192, interested buyers can join the campaign with the promise of an AirSelfie delivered by March of 2017.
