ABC Studios president Patrick Moran has picked up a massive mansion on a half-acre plot bordering the Wilshire Country Club in the historic Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles for $5.75 million.

Built in 1960, the 8,200-square-foot home was modeled after the famed Pavillon de Musique de la comtesse du Barry at the Chateau de Louveciennes that is located near Paris. The house was originally built for Ralph J. Chandler, the nephew of Los Angeles Times publisher Harry Chandler, by architect Wallace Neff.

For all of its size, the house that recalls a lost era only holds three main bedrooms, a pair of staff bedrooms, and six bathrooms.

Features of the manse include an enormous crystal chandelier, gold-leafed accents, chinoiserie-style wallpaper, fluted Ionic columns, hand-forged hardware, detailed moldings, and herringbone-patterned hardwood floors.

Moran also owns a 1924-built, Tudor-style home in Hancock Park that he purchased for $3.65 million. The Tudor was recently featured in Architectural Digest and put back on the market in October for $7.85 million.
