Steven Yeun has left ‘The Walking Dead’ and Hollywood, too; killed off in the series ahead of a major film role, he’s relocated to upscale Los Feliz, and put his Hollywood townhouse up for sale, asking a shadow under 900K.
The 3-bed, 2.5-bath condominium features 1,870 square feet across two floors in the contemporary style. The compact unit’s abundant off-white and long lines take best advantage of available space. The floors of the living room and hallways, and the staircase, are high-gloss wood finished in walnut. The bathrooms are tiled, and the master features soaking tub and dual sinks; the master bedroom features a walk-in closet. The tiled kitchen boasts high-end appliances, and opens to the dining- and living-rooms. A small outdoor patio is accessed from the living room, and is privately ensconced in green.
Yeun purchased his new home in Los Feliz about a month ago, for a reported $2.2 million in cash; it represents nearly double the living space of his former residence, measuring out at a little over 3,300 square feet, and has been extensively renovated. It features vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and a flashy new kitchen.
Seoul-born Yeun was one of the original cast members of the George Romero-inspired AMC series ‘The Walking Dead.’ He played character Glenn Rhee in six seasons of the show, before being definitively retired in the blood-soaked premier of the seventh. A gifted improviser, he joined Chicago’s legendary Second City before making his way to L.A. in 2009. In 2016, he was cast in art-pop film director Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Okja.’ That film, which also stars Tilda Swinton and Paul Dano, will be released next year.
