MV Agusta’s Brutale 800 was the brand’s best-selling model this year, and now the Italian motorcycle maker has come out with a more powerful and upgraded RR version of the superpowered bike.
The Brutale 800 RR was revealed at the EICMA 2016 motorcycle show in Milan this year, where it displayed revamped electronics, lightweight wheels, and a new suspension.
The 800 RR comes with the 800cc triple engine in MV Agusta’s current model lineup. For the RR, however, the output was tweaked to add 24 more ponies and two extra pound-feet of torque to bring the upgraded example’s totals to 140 horsepower and 63 pound-feet of torque.
Other new parts include camshafts, cam chain tensioners, valve guides, a re-designed cylinder, and a new harmonic dampener to cut back on vibration. Tack on a fresh gearbox, countershaft, and starter motor, and the list of new pieces in the engine alone is staggering.
MV also gave the RR onboard diagnostics, an 8-level traction control, and 4 engine control torque maps to help it achieve a Euro IV standard.
Complete with beautiful styling and a modern aesthetic, the Brutale 800 RR will surely turn heads on any street it roars down.
