German camera brand Leica has many special edition cameras, but now the company famous for its red dot logo has come out with its first special edition lens, the Leica APO-Summicron M 50mm f/2 ASPH lens.
The first-ever Leica special edition lens will be offered in a limited-production run and comes in a red anodized finish with a matching lens cap. Leica will also offer a gray cowhide lens case with the limited edition red lens.
The inner workings of the APO-Summicron M 50mm remain the same as the usual silver and black editions of the lens. Eight lens elements and a bright f/2 aperture give the lens a sharp detail and a high level of contrast to create a stunning image.
Leica will offer its first-ever special edition lens for $8,950.
