Hello Inc.’s Sense sleep tracker is getting a bit of an upgrade. The new Sense with Voice tracker can be controlled easily using voice commands.
The Sense with Voice still comes in the form of a sphere-shaped monitor paired with a pill-shaped sensor that latches onto the user’s pillow to detect movement. This sensor now has the ability to pick up voice commands with the simple phrase “Okay, Sense.” The commands can set the alarm, track sleep quality, or take into account external factors like temperature and humidity.
Sense with Voice can hear its user’s voice from anywhere in the bedroom, even when the alarm is going off, via a digital microphone array and echo cancellation. Hello Inc. also made the pill virtually indestructible, gave it a longer battery life, and added tracking for UV light, carbon dioxide, volatile organic compound, light temperature, and barometric pressure, in addition to other factors.
Sense with Voice can now also embed itself into the other smart home tech people use, such as Nest and Philips Hue lights.
Hello Inc. initially launched the original Sense tracker on Kickstarter, raising $2.4 million, to add to the $10.5 million in investor cash.
Sense with Voice is available online and in store at Best Buy and Target locations throughout the U.S.
