Famed television and silver screen director Michael Apted has listed his contemporary-style house in Venice, California, for $2.45 million.
The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home is located in the Silicon Beach region of Venice. This area has become Los Angeles’ version of Silicon Valley and has quickly turned into a go-to destination for tech giants like AOL, Facebook, Google, Yahoo, and YouTube to have outposts. The Silicon Beach stretch ranges from Santa Monica all the way down to Playa del Rey.
Apted’s home features a unique modern geometric structure and boasts a mural painted by Garrett Wasserman on one side that shows swimmers enjoying the waves.
Another amenity of the 1954-built house is a kitchen with zebra wood cabinetry and modern stainless steel appliances. The home also boasts dark walnut wood floors throughout.
Apted is credited for current popular shows like “Masters of Sex” and “Ray Donovan.” The 75-year-old is also responsible for the James Bond film “The World Is Not Enough” and “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.” Additionally, he is the mind behind the “Up” series of movies, which have documented a group of British children every seven years since its beginning in 1964.
