Jaybird is known for its in-ear headphones designed for the athletically minded, and the brand’s new X3 wireless headphones continue this tradition.
The new Jaybird X3 headphones boast Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity, a leap from the outgoing X2 model that came with Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR. This doesn’t change the sound quality, but it does help how the X3s connect. Two pairs of the Jaybird headphones can be connected to one source device or one pair can be connected to two different devices simultaneously.
Despite Jaybird giving the X3s a larger 6mm driver, the new headphones are actually smaller than the X2s. The X3s also come with a longer 8-hour battery life thanks to a reworked battery.
Customizing the X3 headphones is easier than ever before via Jaybird’s accompanying MySound app. Thanks to the app, users can optimize their listening experience to detailed levels and make sure the quality is always the same.
Jaybird offers the X3 Wireless Sport Headphones in four color options: Alpha (military green and dark chrome), Blackout (black and silver), Road Rash (red and dark chrome), and Sparta (white and gold). The X3s retail for $130 and can be purchased on Jaybird’s website.
