Fashion magnate Tommy Hilfiger’s decked out penthouse in the famed Plaza Hotel has received a recent $21-million price cut, making the new asking price $58.9 million for the space boasting views of New York’s Central Park and Fifth Avenue.

The condo in question is made up of what was once two separate units on the 18th and 19th floor that Hilfiger and his wife, Dee Ocleppo, purchased for $25.5 million in 2008.

Hilfiger’s penthouse measures in at 5,600 square feet and holds four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It also includes a formal dining room complete with a wet bar, a paneled library room, a breakfast room situated right under the iconic dome of the Plaza, a family room, a study, and an eat-in kitchen.

The unit also includes furnishings like reclaimed wood flooring, vintage fireplaces brought in from England, black lacquered walls, and antiqued mirrors. The dome features a mural painted by Hillary Knight, the illustrator of the famous Eloise books, whose character lived on the “tippy-top floor” of the Plaza Hotel.

Hilfiger’s taste for contemporary pop art is reflected throughout with pieces from Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Richard Prince and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Hilfiger initially listed his duplex Plaza penthouse for $80 million in 2013, with the apartment undergoing a series of price cuts until now.
