To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Ducati has come out with a special 1299 Panigale S Anniversario edition that shows how far the Italian superbike giant has come in its lifetime.
The motorcycle is a special edition version of the 1299 Panigale S, and it boasts some of the same features, such as the same 1,285-cc L-twin engine, before-their-time electronic controls, and aluminum monocoque chassis.
Some of the above-mentioned electronic upgrades include traction control and wheelie-control programs improve the cornering and acceleration of the Panigale S. When paired with the new chassis build, the Anniversario version of the S is more like the racing bike version from Ducati, the Panigale R.
Other special features on the Anniversario include a lithium-ion battery, a titanium exhaust, and a carbon-fiber mudguard help reduce the weight off of the bike, making it 5.5 pounds lighter than the regular Panigale S.

Ducati is set to only make 500 examples of the Anniversario, with each carrying a $29,000 price tag.
