American rapper 2 Chainz has just purchased a new Hollywood Hills home for $2.45 million.

The Grammy-nominated musician scooped up a beautiful three-bedroom, 4.5-bath Mediterranean-style manse that was once owned by fellow musician Steve Vai. The home even has a 1,400-square-foot recording studio, Mothership Studio, already built in.

Located near Beachwood Canyon, the property boasts panoramic canyon and city views available through the home’s large windows and multiple decks and balconies. Originally built in 1986, the house was completely renovated last year, and it now features an expansive open floor plan with giant folding glass doors that lead to a large, raised patio.

In addition to the impressive recording studio with its own entrance, live room, mic room, control room, bathroom, kitchen, and lounge area, the master suite is also impressive with a two closets, a fireplace, and a limestone bathroom with a soaking tub.

2 Chainz’ first album, “Based on a T.R.U. Story,” debuted at #1 in the U.S. The rapper released his third studio album earlier this year.
