The wheels keep turning on Steph Curry’s real estate life. The reigning NBA MVP purchased a $5.8 million home earlier this month in Alamo, California. Now, he’s looking to unload his Walnut Creek, California property for $3.7 million.
The price represents a $500,000 increase on what Curry and wife Ayesha paid for the home last year, but it reportedly saw tremendous upgrades during their time as owners.
The gated Mediterranean mansion boasts 7,500 square feet of interior space, behind a custom entry of sparsely exposed brickwork. A dark wood foyer leads to a step-down living room with a carved fireplace. Geometric light fixtures hang from above the walk-through dining area, whose ceiling-height windows and French doors offer views of the home’s multi-level terrace out back. A Carrara marble center island in the contemporary country kitchen is joined by herringbone backsplashes and brass accents.
A billiards room, a wet bar and a wine cellar with room for 2,000 bottles populate the lower-level lounge. There’s also a media room with a fireplace and a cozy office nook. The master suite is broken into two volumes, with a large sitting room and a tucked bedroom area.
Curry is playing on the last year of the four-year contract he signed for $44 million back in 2012. Estimates for the worth of his next deal have topped the $160-million mark.
