Mercedes-Benz unveiled its concept X-Class pickup truck in Stockholm, showing off the first-ever examples of its X-Class series of vehicles.

The Powerful Adventurer and Stylish Explorer are the two concept examples of the X-Class that show what the German automaker plans to do to make its trucks special.

The Powerful Adventurer displays the practical, powerful, and sturdy classic-style pickup equipped with off-road capability that is a major part of the identity of the coming X-Class model. The Stylish Explorer takes things to the next level in luxe full of lavish comfort and extra driving dynamics and safety.

Mercedes’ move into the pickup market marks the first foray into the vast arena of mid-size pickup trucks made by a premium automaker, and the first venture isn’t anything to gaff at, with one of these first vehicles coming in the form of a tough one-ton truck with comfortable seating for up to five passengers.

Many of the elements owners and fans have come to expect from a pickup are part of Mercedes-Benz’s X-Class concepts, but the top-of-the-line materials and lavish nature expected from a Benz make the pickup trucks something special in the competitive market.
