Hedge fund manager and art collector Steve Cohen is still trying to unload his duplex in One Beacon Court at 151 East 58th Street in New York City. The asking price is now $67.5 million. The property first hit the market back in 2013 with a $115-million asking price.
Cohen snatched up the duplex unit for $24 million in 2005. After the initial listing in 2013 didn’t land any buyers, the price dropped to $98 million, then $82 million, then $79 million before the home was taken off the market this past December. Last April the unit referred to as PH5152W showed up on the market for $72 million before its most recent price cut.
Measuring in at 9,000 square feet, the duplex holds five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen with stunning black marble countertops, maple flooring, a pair of staff rooms, a media room, a steel and glass staircase, and 24-foot-high walls of glass offering incredible city views.
The apartment was designed by architect Charles Gwathmey, who came to fame for his renovation of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Guggenheim Museum back in 1992.
