You may know Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss from the integral role they played in the founding of Facebook (or at least the Armie Hammer version of the twins that made it to the screen in 2010’s The Social Network), but they’ve worn many hats throughout their lives: as American rowing representatives at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, as Bitcoin entrepreneurs and now as landlords.
A penthouse unit the twins reportedly bought two years ago for the tidy sum of $14.5 million recently hit the rental market for $100,000 a month. With 4,300 square feet of indoor space and another 2,300 square feet outdoors, the home has plenty of room for entertaining.
Incredibly chic interiors by, according to the listing, a “well-known interior designer” include floors of Siberian white oak, glass shelving and dark wood accents, with an open flow-through floorplan. 360-degree city views are available from the home’s wraparound terrace, which can be seen from the gray-walled master bedroom through floor-to-ceiling walls of glass.
Open shelves in the eat-in kitchen are paired with a boxy stainless range hood for an ultra-contemporary look—which gets taken to the next level with camouflaged wood refrigerator, and the media room boasts chic built-in shelves. Other spaces include a semi-formal living room and a second bedroom.
Another penthouse is also available in the building but that one—owned by Grand Theft Auto creator Daniel Houser—is listed for sale, with a price of $10 million.
