While most think of Netgear as a maker of routers and modems, the company has recently introduced a security camera.
Offering new options in home security, the newest creation is a wireless HD camera dubbed the Arlo Pro. Designed to handle unruly elements, the home security camera boasts two-way audio and motion-sensing technology.
What makes the two-way audio so innovative is the fact that homeowners could potentially alert intruders that they’ve been spotted in an attempt to thwart a theft or other crime.
While Arlo Pro sports some of the same features as its predecessor, this model is powered by 2,440 mAh rechargeables instead of swappable batteries. It’s also able to utilize a 130-degree viewing angle, a passive infrared motion sensor, and a 100-decibel siren that can be activated via the companion app.
Netgear’s Arlo Pro is now available starting at $249 for a single camera setup and a week of free cloud recording. Customers can save 30 days of footage for $10 a month or 60 days for $15 a month.
