Emilia Clarke, who plays dragon-wrangling ice queen Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s Game of Thrones, has a new domain lately after picking up a 2,800-square-foot Venice, California spread. The London-born actress reportedly spent $4.64 million for the two-bedroom, three-bathroom home.

Sliding glass walls, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a sleek dark-faced fireplace give the formal dining area a dramatic—if bookish and outdoorsy—look, while the adjacent open kitchen includes flat-faced custom cabinetry and a large, black marble center island.

A glass-encased staircase with plush carpeting draws a contrast against a pocked concrete wall, sitting above a long custom built-in sideboard with space for a desk, past which sits the slender living area, which is backed by a completely glass wall.

A covered patio, a 30-foot swimming pool and plenty of landscaped yard, including mature olive trees, make the outdoor an entertaining oasis, while the ensuite master bedroom comes with a spacious walk-in closet and a new age-y bathroom with a unique striped pattern in the frameless shower.

Clarke’s other credits include roles in this summer’s Me Before You and as the newest iteration of Sarah Connor in last year’s Terminator Genisys—a role that may have helped her win Sexiest Woman Alive honors from Esquire. In 2012, she briefly dated Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. The two reportedly remain friends.
