Herman Miller has just unveiled the next evolution of its Aeron chair. The Aeron is known across the world as one of the best and most popular office chairs.
The American design firm has sold more than 7 million of these chairs around the world since the initial release back in 1994.
The new version of the Aeron features the same overall look as its predecessor, but it has been given a new suspension and tilt mechanism to adjust to all different kinds of body types and movements within the chair.
Herman Miller outfitted the seat and back of the Aeron chair with a fabric called Pellicle, which is a specially designed woven material. This fabric allows for eight different zones of tension, with the firmest offering more rigid support and the loosest allowing the body to distribute its weight across the seat and back evenly.
The new Aeron office chair is currently available for order in North America, Latin America, and Mexico. A well-optioned chair costs around $1,000.
