Chris Brown’s Former L.A. Home Hits the Market for $2.7M, and It’s Still Got His Outlandish Murals

The recent listing of Chris Brown’s former house in Hollywood Hills should look familiar: when Brown sold the house in 2014, it included a series of street art-inspired murals. Those murals were retained by the most recent owner, who reportedly loved them.

One thing that has changed since Brown sold the house: the price. Brown sold the home for $1.69 million, and the current owner is hoping to make a bit over a million on the flip, asking $2.695 million.

The house briefly came to prominent national attention in 2013, when Brown’s neighbors complained to the L.A. Times about some of the outdoor murals. “There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they’re literally frightened,” said one neighbor.

Built in 2008, the 2,800-square-foot home was designed by Los Angeles architect Jay Vanos in a clean, contemporary style. Vaulted ceilings, light hardwood floors, glass railings and floor-to-ceiling windows are just some of the modern fixtures across the four floors, traversed by either an elevator or floating wood stairs.

The kitchen, sitting in a corner of the open-plan living room includes dark cabinets, stainless appliances and bar seating for three, while a curvaceous red tub highlights the polished bathroom in the master bath, which is separated from the main bedroom by a wall of glass.

Outdoors, a saltwater swimming pool is joined by a series of private cabanas and an outdoor projection screen.
