Steph Curry, the reigning NBA MVP and this year’s superstar Finals also-ran, recently got himself a new pad in the San Francisco area. Curry, known for dropping threes, dropped $5.8 million this time for the 10,290-square-foot five-bedroom.
Sitting on a one-and-a-half-acre property, the gated home in Alamo, California comes with luxe amenities that include a billiard room, a library, a six-car garage, formal gardens, an infinity swimming pool and a sauna-equipped guesthouse. There’s even a playground for Curry’s two headline-grabbing children, Riley and Ryan.
The property, which was originally priced at $7.8 million when it came to market last October, also includes solar panels on the roof, so not only did Curry save on the sale price, but he’ll also be saving on his electric bill.
The foyer is floored with hardwood (resembling, we might add, that of a basketball court) and features a uniquely vaulted ceiling, while the formal living and dining rooms are separated by a two-way fireplace—one of five fireplaces in the home. A U-shaped center island dominates the kitchen, off of which sits a windowed media center.
There’s also a dedicated laundry room, a backyard fire pit and outdoor pavilion, an informal dining and lounge area off the fitness center and a lovely, urn-shaped fountain wrapped in a maze of hedges on the property.
Last year, Curry set the NBA record for three-pointers in a season, draining 402, beating the previous record—which he set last year—by an astounding 116.
