To celebrate the 40th birthday of its Nautilus range of timepieces, Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe has come out with a pair of limited editions of the sought-after wristwatches.
The first Nautilus special edition is the ref. 5976/1G Chronograph in white gold. Sitting in the 44mm by 49.25mm white gold case is a caliber CH 28-520 C automatic flyback chronograph movement.
The watch boasts diamond indexes, and the dial carries special badging indicating how special the timepiece is. It will come in a vintage-style cork case just like the first-ever Nautilus watch did in 1976.
The ref. 5976/1G will have a production run of 1,300 examples and comes with a price tag of $96,390.
The second 40th anniversary Nautilus is the ref. 5711/1P, which calls back to simpler times and only tells its wearers the time and date thanks to its caliber 324 S C movement. The timepiece measures in at 40mm by 44.05mm and both the case and bracelet are solid platinum.
The dial again has a special embossment indicating it’s an anniversary model and all of the time markers on the face are baguette-cut diamonds totaling .34 carats.
Patek Philippe will only make 700 ref. 5711/1P timepieces, with each costing $113,400.
