While Faraday Future hasn’t given any information about when it will reveal its production electric car, the California-based company did recently have some news.
The Chinese-backed, American automaker has planted its flag in the Formula E racing series with its own team, Faraday Future Dragon Racing, and has unveiled its final logo and color scheme.
The racing team boasts a minimalistic black and white aesthetic that Faraday Future is calling Polarity. The two colors represent the company, with white standing for clean energy and black symbolizing powerful and refined performance.
The burgeoning eclectic car company, the car the Faraday Future Dragon Racing squad will be driving is the same Spark-Renault SRT_O1E chassis all the other Formula E teams use.
For this go-round, Faraday Future has limited its role to sponsor of the namesake team, with the possibility of helping out with software. However, the electric car brand does plan on diving in during the coming years with everything from motors and powertrain parts to other hardware components.
At this time, all that is known about the company’s forthcoming electric example is that the marque squared away a deal with LG Chem for batteries and that it broke ground on a factory in Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier in 2016.
