The final furniture collection of the late designer Zaha Hadid has just been unveiled.
Hadid’s last collection is dubbed “UltraStellar,” and with polished out-of-this-world influence, each piece deserves recognition. The range for David Gill was displayed at the Mayfair space gallery and showed off the artist’s first timber pieces.
With an emphasis on fluid and organic forms, the unique wooden furniture pieces fit perfectly with items made from acrylic and silver. The graceful collection utilizes specially crafted walnut.
Special standouts include the acrylic “Liquid Glacial” pieces like a three-legged acrylic console and a shaped silver fruit bowl, in addition to a wooden symmetrical coffee table with a unique an otherworldly rippling effect.
Zaha’s last line also included an incredible behemoth of a chandelier crafted from aluminum and glass creating web-like legs across the ceiling.
