Not long after his unceremonious departure from Fox News, Roger Ailes has something to celebrate: a gorgeous $36 million oceanfront home in Palm Beach, Florida. The former Fox News chairman and CEO bought the property through a trust, but that didn’t stop a local “law source” from leaking the news to South Florida gossip site Gossip Extra.
The incredibly contemporary 12,747-square-foot spec home comes with six bedrooms as well as seven full and three half bathrooms. Open floor plans and Marc-Michaels-designed interiors—including thick columns, floating staircases, interlocking ring light fixtures, tan stone flooring and horizontal wood paneling—give the home an ultra-sleek look while the floor-to-ceiling glass walls are sure to let in plenty of Florida sunlight.
Other amenities include a resort-style pool, glass-countered kitchen with floating shelves, a mirrored family room, a home office with a hoop-supported desk, a large wine shelf and marble bar and an outdoor living room.
In addition to the multi-home compound he owns in upstate New York (from which he’s trying to unload two properties), Ailes also owns a 3,500-square-foot ranch house in New Jersey that he bought in 2000 for $1.85 million.
Ailes is likely to have plenty of like-minded compatriots in his new town: in addition to Donald Trump’s famed Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach is also home to properties owned by Ann Coulter and Donald Trump.
