Movie buffs, take note: $39.999 million is all it takes to live like the founder of one of the most successful film companies of all time. Harry Warner—he of Warner Bros. acclaim—hired famed architect Paul Williams to give the astounding Beverly Hills mansion a Tudor/French Country overhaul during his ownership, not too long after the home was built in the 1920s.

The current owner, philanthropist Daphna Ziman, has had some renovations done to the 12,254-square-foot mansion herself: from adding Italian leaded windows to the dining room to tacking on a gym, an art gallery and a bar. And according to Ziman, who chairs the child welfare organization Children Uniting Nations, the house has hosted a wide array of celebrities and dignitaries, including Marilyn Monroe, Bill Clinton, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Etta James and Lionel Richie.

And if you were a fan of FX’s recent miniseries, The People v. O.J. Simpson, you’re likely to recognize it. It served as the fictionalized version of Simpson’s house in the show.

With a cobblestone motor court and a large brick pediment surrounded by mature trees, the front has a very un-L.A. feel of historic comfort. Details indoors include thick grids of beams in the living room ceiling, a formal dining room with space to seat 12, a billiard room, a second living area with wood-paneled walls, a brick courtyard, tennis court and a lagoon swimming pool.
