Kids always want whatever it is their parents have, whether that’s a bite of their sandwich, a matching outfit, or a luxury ride.
McLaren customers now have the option of purchasing a mini McLaren for their child under the age of seven. The British supercar manufacturer may be used to crafting faster and more heart-stopping vehicles, but the brand pulled back the reins and upped the cute factor a bit to create the tiny new battery-powered P1 Roadster.
It sports a central driving position and an open top. While it may not reach teeth-chattering speeds like the design on which it’s based, it can zoom from zero to its max speed in only two seconds.
Lucky drivers will also enjoy a built-in audio system and MP3 player that comes pre-programmed with nursery rhymes. Tiny racers will also have the ability to enter a reverse gear and to utilize the advanced three-speed forward transmission.
The new electric McLaren P1 will be available at the end of October in Volcano Yellow with a $485 price tag.
