Former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin got a cool $2.275 million for an 8,000-square-foot Arizona home recently, after listing the Scottsdale estate back in December with an original price of $2.499 million. More recently, it had been listed at $2.375 million.

The brazen hockey mom purchased the home for $1.695 million back in 2011, a year after being hired as a contributor for Fox News. The flagstone and stucco six-bedroom has two master suites—one of which includes access to a roof deck, while the other features an enormous sitting area and a tiled bathroom with Mediterranean soaking tub—and six-and-a-half bathrooms. The oversized foyer features a chandelier-topped dining area, a wrought-iron stair rail leading to a bulging balcony, a decorative alcove and a tile floor.

Stainless appliances and granite-topped counters in the eat-in kitchen are accented with a brick backsplash, while the living room includes a marvelously carved fireplace and a built-in media center. There’s also a tiered home theater, a second living area in the basement and a wine cellar.

Fireplaces and a built-in grilling station make the outdoor living room perfect for entertaining, while a multi-use sports court and a spa-equipped swimming pool will help the new owner get their exercise in. The five-acre property also sports a putting green.
