Kenny Rogers, the former MLB All-Star pitcher (not the country singer), is attempting to offload his Westlake, Texas, property after slashing the asking price almost $3 million down to $11.9 million.
The parcel consists of nine pastoral and manicured acres of land holding a 12,000-square-foot main house, a guesthouse, a pair of ponds, formal gardens, an entertainment pavilion, a pool, and a two-stall barn.
The 2004-built, French country-style main house holds five bedrooms, formal dining and living rooms—the latter of which boasts a carved fireplace, parquet flooring—and crown molding. There is also a family room, a kitchen with exposed ceiling beams and cherry cabinetry. Another bonus is the two separate bathrooms in the master suite, which also boasts a pair of fireplaces, heated floors, and a private sitting room.
Rogers retired from baseball in 2008 after a 20-year MLB career. The four-time All-Star spent 12 seasons with the Texas Rangers.
