Since their debut in the early part of the 1950s, Breitling’s Navitimer timepieces have been a go-to watch in the aeronautical community, with the Swiss watch brand even working closely with the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association on a special model for its members.
The first-ever 806 Navitimer gave pilots the ability to calculate vital data such as flight time, fuel consumption, distance, and even airspeed with a simple glimpse at their watch.
Now Breitling has cemented their Navitimer tradition with a new limited-edition model called the Navitimer GMT Aurora Blue that boasts modern technological and design updates.
Of course, the rotating slide rule bezel comes standard with the Navitmer, which is crucial to making the calculations mentioned above. Breitling has also given the special Navitimer a new blue dial, which is indicated in the name of the stainless steel timepiece and makes it the most colorful example yet.
Powering the Navitimer GMT Aurora Blue is a COSC-certified Caliber B04 movement that boasts a 70-hour power reserve.
Breitling has limited the production run of the Navitimer GMT Aurora Blue to just 1,000 examples, each available with a $9,290 price tag.
