Heating company Speeta has come out with a new customizable wood-burning stove dubbed the Speetbox to bring both warmth and style into one’s home.
Designed by Philippe Starck, the Speetbox has a functional aesthetic that fits into any room with ease, offering everything from energy efficient heating to storage.
The app-controlled Speetbox can be utilized with or without electricity, making placement a non-issue. Added on cube-shaped units can hold anything from extra wood to coal to books so that the unit can have more than one function in a living space.
With an airtight wood stove and a stainless steel hearth, heat can be made in a less consumptive and cheaper way, and it can even be stored with a stone-filled portion that disperses heat based on the owner’s needs, even after the stove has been shut off.
The lighting, heat distribution, temperature, and speed of combustion can also all be monitored and censored with the companion app.
Speetbox comes with a small shovel, tongs, and a brush to clean the Speeta device.
