Mercedes has added a pair of variants to its increasingly popular AMG GT lineup, revealing the new 2017 GT Roadster and GT C Roadster models.
Both Roadster editions will feature a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine which has been borrowed from their closed-top siblings, but each boasts different performance specs. The powerplant in the GT Roadster delivers 469 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, while the unit in the GT C Roadster packs 550 horses and 502 pound-feet of twist.
The regular Roadster is able to make the zero-to-60-mph sprint in 3.9 seconds while the C Roadster shaves 0.2 seconds off of that time.
Not much is different between the exterior styles of the new GT Roadsters, but the GT C has a slightly wider stance thanks to wider rear fenders (the same ones on the hardtop GT R) with larger wheels and tires inside of them.
The GT C Roadster also includes AMG Ride Control adjustable suspension, active rear steering, electronic limited-slip differential, an AMG Performance exhaust setup, and larger brakes.
The regular GT Roadster includes an AMG Sport suspension and a mechanical limited-slip differential as opposed to an electronic one.
Inside, there is a tablet-like center screen infotainment system on the dash and Mercedes will include the option of a beige leather interior for the first time in GT models, which can be paired with a trio of soft top color options in beige, black, or red.
Official prices have yet to be divulged, but both models can expect their prices to land north of $115,000.
