It’s good to be Aubrey Graham these days. The rapper known to mere mortals as Drake reportedly purchased his neighbor’s home in Hidden Hills for $2.85 million after the neighbor complained about the recording artist’s raucous parties.
Constructed in 1955 on about an acre of land, and situated behind a curving brick driveway and a large front lawn, the 4,445-square-foot ranch has four bedrooms and five bathrooms with high ceilings, an open floor plan and hardwood floors.
Fireplaces in the formal living and dining rooms and a gourmet kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and a subway tile backsplash give the home a cozier feel than you might expect from the new home of a world-renowned rapper, but the back deck and kidney-shaped swimming pool feel right as rain for a quaint, nearby getaway. There’s even a stone path to the shingled back shed.
Home to celebrities like Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber, the Hidden Hills is a supremely exclusive gated community not far from Calabasas in the San Fernando Valley.
Drake’s main home in the area is a bit less than twice the size of his new digs at 7,444 square feet. The buy makes good on one of the 29-year-old’s lines, from the Future collab “Where Ya At.”
“I’ll buy the neighbors house if they complain about the noise.” Okay, Drake. We believe you now.
