Dassault Aviation has a new, ultra-long range flagship, and it’s a $58 million phenom. Building on the advances of their Falcon 7X, the newly introduced Falcon 8X offers a longer range than its predecessor—7,422 miles nonstop, to be exact—which allows for trips between Hong Kong and Paris, Los Angeles and Beijing or London and Cape Town, to name just a few potential itineraries. And with a top speed of 425 mph, you’ll make it to your next stop in no time.
State-of-the-art innovations include a semi-automatic fly-by-wire cockpit and three turbofan engines, which allow the jet to launch from short runways and operate at airports in hot weather or at high elevations. The 6,722-pound PW307D engines are made by Pratt & Whitney Canada to lower fuel consumption and reduce NOx emissions by 30%.
Every inch of the 80.2-foot long jet is designed to enhance the owners’ traveler experience. During the redesign phase, the company reconsidered every major structure and system, streamlining and integrating them
And in case you think the upgrades are all under the hood, the cabin is also roomier than the 7X’s at 43-feet long by 7.6-feet wide, and includes 30 different layout options.
Deliveries will begin early this fall, and—as ever when the French aviation company releases a new model—demand looks to be high, so you’ll want to get in line quick.
