The former home of Ike and Tina Turner, the musical couple known perhaps as much for their fiery relationship as their genre-defining rhythm and blues careers, has hit the market in the unincorporated View Park community just outside Los Angeles.

Sitting behind a stone wall and a circular motor court, the 3,000-square-foot home certainly speaks to its former glory. Though the Turners sold the 1956-built four-bedroom in 1977 as part of their tumultuous divorce, the connection’s stayed alive, with plenty of details maintained since the current owner’s purchase nearly forty years ago. Portions of the 1993 Tina Turner biopic What’s Love Got to Do With It were even filmed there.

The curvaceous, custom-made sofas were originally commissioned by the Turners in red, though they’ve been reupholstered since, and the family room’s waterfall reportedly held koi fish in the Ike and Tina days. A built-in fish tank also sits behind the home’s wet bar, which includes red velvet barstools and polished granite walls that complement the raw stone walls elsewhere throughout the house.

The raised and canopied circular bed in the master suite is another holdover, while accents like the vivacious wallpaper and the red carpet give a distinctly ‘70s vibe, which continues into the kitchen with vintage appliances and latticed tiles. A breakfast nook includes a snaking stained glass pattern in the corner windows, and the formal dining room features a wall painting of flowers.
