Drew Bledsoe, the retired NFL quarterback who’d have gone down in history as the New England Patriots’ greatest of all time if it weren’t for a man named Brady, has worn a number of hats since retiring in 2006. In addition to serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of his son’s high school football team, the four-time Pro Bowler has also started a winery, a private investment firm, a coffee roaster and a foundation focusing on “positively chang[ing] the lives of children through effective parenting.”

But one title, “real estate impresario,” has been elusive for the 2002 Super Bowl champion. In 2013, Bledsoe listed his 14,800-square-foot Bend, Oregon home for $11.5 million, cutting the ask to $8.5 million last year. Now, the price has dropped another $2 million.

Sitting on a 10.3-acre parcel, the seven-bedroom home features gorgeous views of the Cascade Mountains, just a 25-minute trip to the Mt. Bachelor ski slopes. It also features a putting green, a turf field, an indoor basketball court with 20-foot-ceilings, a swimming pool with a pair of waterfalls, a temperature-controlled wine cellar and an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven and television as well as two separate fire pits.

In 2004, the Bledsoes paid $750,000 for the property, building the stone-and-timber house over the course of the next several years. The pastoral décor includes exposed beam ceilings, stone fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen, a formal dining room and an oversized game room with wooden built-ins and a media center.

Bledsoe, the first overall selection in the 1993 NFL draft, was for a time the richest NFL player in history after signing a 10-year, $103 million extension with the Pats in 2001. That year, Bledsoe went 0-2 before suffering a sheared blood vessel against the New York Jets, the game in which Tom Brady took over the Patriots’ reigns.
