The creator of HBO’s Emmy-winning show “True Blood” has just listed his home. Writer-producer Alan Ball is hoping to receive $5.9 million for his Ojai, California, house.

Ball’s luxury home is set on a private, 40-plus-acre hilltop estate that’s divided into three separate parcels. With grand panoramic views of the Ojai Valley, it probably won’t last on the market long, and it was last available for $3.34 million in June of 2011.

Built in 1960, the two-story Tuscan-style villa has been completely remodeled and upgraded and now stretches to just over 4,300 square feet with three ensuite bedrooms and four bathrooms. The master suite is the most luxe, though, with a separate dressing room, a private balcony, and a vaulted and wood-beamed ceiling.

Additional amenities like solar panels, a separate two-room office, a four-stall horse barn, a large aviary, and a covered dog run make the impressive estate worthy of its celebrity owner.

Ball and his partner Peter Macdissi also own a 10-plus-acre Hollywood Hills compound that they bought for $11.1 million and a private Nichols Canyon residence that they are currently leasing at $30,000 per month.
