Page Thirty Three’s new “Use Your Illusions” home collection is both functional and stylish.
The Sydney-based design studio took inspiration from space age design elements to develop the modern collection. “‘I love looking at how the future was forecast 50 years ago, and comparing it to how we live today,” said Ryan Hanrahan, who founded Page Thirty Three in 2010.
Complete with 20 pieces, it’s the studio’s largest collection to date and sports a palette of dark hues and a variety of textures like black polyurethane, concrete, matte-black terracotta, and Australian Bluestone.
The brand’s distinctive style is maintained throughout with geometric shapes and clean lines. Some of the standout pieces include eight lighting pieces, candle holders, and an oil burner and oil diffuser. Larger pieces like the Lightyear daybed and Vader chair also make an impression with materials like black-coated Birch ply, 40mm aluminum tube frame, and polyurethane cylinders.
Some of the pieces are even reminiscent of a puzzle like the Totem lamp, which is composed of Bluestone and steel parts and is assembled by sliding various components onto an upright light saber. The unique Zig Zag side table also has a similar, puzzle-like appearance.
